Terms and Conditions

  • USQ Careers & Employment consists of a team of professional staff in the area or career counselling and employment. Our service operates Monday - Friday with exception of the week between Christmas and New Year.
  • USQ CareerHub is an online student employment website that allows employers to advertise jobs, career opportunities and events to students free of charge.
  • USQ Careers & Employment reserve the right to approve, alter or reject employer registrations, job advertisements, or event requests and can restrict employer access in situations of non-compliance.
  • All job advertisements submitted to USQ CareerHub must comply with all relevant Australian and State laws including privacy, fair trading, trade practices and anti-discrimination laws.

Advertising Jobs

  • Employers are able to advertise a variety of jobs including graduate, casual, work experience, cadetships, part-time, full-time, scholarship, vacation, and volunteer.
  • Employers may advertise jobs on USQ CareerHub at any time during the year.
  • Employers should ensure that the job contains all relevant information including the company name, contact details, location, pay rate, and an adequate description of the job.
  • USQ Careers & Employment reserves the right to alter or reject content that is deemed inappropriate, discriminatory or offensive.
  • All jobs will be submitted to the USQ administrators for approval, rejection, or alteration before publishing live to the site.
  • All USQ students from all disciplines, year levels, and study modes have free access to USQ CareerHub, but must first register on the site.
  • It is up to the students to check the jobs on USQ CareerHub and apply to them according to the application specification.
  • USQ Careers & Employment are not a recruitment agency and will not be involved in the short listing and selection processes for employers.
  • Students apply for the job according to the application information that the employer supplies on the advertisement. Students do not apply through the USQ Careers & Employment office.
  • The advertisement will automatically expire on the day that the employer designates. If the job needs to be re-advertised employers can do so through the employer login site.
  • Recruitment agencies should provide as much detail as possible about the type of company and location of the jobs that they are dealing with. They should also reveal the company name of the client if asked by the USQ Careers & Employment staff. This information will remain confidential.
  • Employers are to put their own advertisements on USQ CareerHub. The USQ Careers & Employment staff will not place jobs for employers except in certain circumstances and at the discretion of the USQ Careers & Employment staff.

Event Advertising

  • Employers can advertise events to students that are degree related or relevant to the enhancement of their career.
  • USQ Careers & Employment reserves the right to alter or reject content that is deemed inappropriate, discriminatory or offensive.
  • All jobs will be submitted to the USQ administrators for approval, rejection, or alteration before publishing live to the site.

Liability

  • USQ accepts no responsibility, and will be under no liability to users or employees in respect of any loss or damage suffered or incurred, directly or indirectly, in respect of the services supplied by USQ through USQ CareerHub.
  • USQ Careers & Employment accepts no responsibility for the content of information placed on the USQ CareerHub website by employers.
  • Employers that advertise on USQ CareerHub hereby indemnify USQ and its staff for any claims, expenses, actions or costs incurred by USQ as a result of advertising through USQ CareerHub.
  • USQ Careers & Employment does not guarantee the suitability of any person applying for a position advertised through USQ CareerHub. Employment decisions are the responsibility of the advertising employer.
  • Advertisers agree that all information placed on USQ CareerHub does not breach any law or the rights of any person.
